April/May 2018: Performed the role of Jenny, the Stage Manager, in the Arizona community theatre production of “Curtains.” I also used my graphic design skills to produce our program (had to use licensed show name font but all the rest is mine; cover art left), many of the props, and also acted as Propmaster behind the scenes! After one of the last shows we did, our director told us that someone had come up to her to praise the singing of one of the cast in particular. This someone was either a voice teacher or someone qualified to express an opinion. He or she (never found out who) said it was… drumroll, please… ME!!! I was gobsmacked! We had some beautiful, TRAINED, voices in our cast yet this person “especially appreciated” mine! (I’m not trained – not really. I’ve had maybe 2-3 lessons in my life and that was years ago.) That compliment really made my day!!! I had my own death scene but nobody took pictures… sigh… ‘Curtains’ was on Broadway 2007 with David Hyde Pierce in the title role. He won the Tony^(R)!
